Abstract: | ![]() This paper describes a study of the risk of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in various European countries. The objectives of the study are to investigate the frequency of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and other human spongiform encephalophaties in Europe in relation to animal spongiform encephalophaties, and to assess the risk of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in relation to genetic, occupational and nutritional factors.
