Idiopathic pulmonary arterial trunk aneurysm presenting as cor pulmonale: report of a case |

| Abstract: | An elderly woman who presented with cor pulmonale and intractable right heart failure was found at autopsy to have a thrombosed aneurysm of the pulmonary arterial trunk. This case is unusual in that no associated congenital cardiopulmonary anomaly, vascular myxoid degeneration, pulmonary parenchymal disease, or thromboembolism was found. |
