The Effect of Corneal Topography Guided FS-LASIK on Postoperative Visual Quality of Myopic Patients

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of corneal topography guided femtosecond-excimer laser in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK) on postoperative visual quality of myopic patients. Methods A total of 98 cases(196 eyes) of myopia patients in our hospital from July 2018 to June 2020 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, 49 cases(98 eyes) in the reference group were treated with FS-LASIK guided by WFO, 49 cases(98 eyes) in the study group were treated with FS-LASIK guided by corneal topography. The visual acuity recovery, corneal higher-order aberrations [total higher order aberrations(HOA), Coma, spherical aberration(SA)] and modulation transfer function(MTF) were compared between the two groups. Results Three months after operation, the uncorrected visual acuity and diopter of the two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05), and the improvement effects of the study group were better than those of the reference group(P<0.05);HOA, Coma and SA in the study group were significantly higher than those before operation(P<0.05), but the above indexes in the study group were significantly lower than those in the reference group(P<0.05);the MTF of the study group was significantly higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05). Conclusions FS-LASIK guided by corneal topography can improve the visual acuity and visual quality of myopic patients.
