从1999-2008年SCI收录广东省医学论文看其医学科研的发展

目的：探讨广东省医学科研发展情况。方法：比较分析1999—2008年SCI收录广东与北京、上海、江苏、浙江和山东5省市医学论文数量、学科构成和被引频次。结果：广东省医学论文总数排第3名，且低于6省市的平均水平。广东医学论文的学科构成与山东相似，与其余4省市差异较大，眼科学、泌尿外科学和肾脏病学为广东的优势学科。广东医学论文的平均被引频次依然排名第3，且低于6省市的平均水平。结论：目前广东省医学科研发展情况在6省市中处于尴尬地位，广东有必要咖大科研的投入力度，激励科研人员的创新热情，在发展优势学科的同时，有意识地扶持薄弱学科，提高广东省在国内外医学界的影响。

Development in medical research based on SCI-covered papers in 1999-2008 published by authors of Guangdong Province: A comparison with those published by authors in Beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong Provinces

AIM: To study the development of medical research in Guangdong Province. Methods: The number of SCI-covered medical papers in 1999-2008 published by authors in Guangdong Province, Beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong Provinces, as well as their involved subjects and citations were compared and analyzed. Results: The total number of SCI-covered medical papers published by authors in Guangdong Province ranked third among the 6 municipalities and provinces, and was lower than that in the other 5 municipalities and provinces. The involved subjects were similar to those of Shandong Province, and differed greatly from those of Beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong Provinces. Ophthalmology, urinary surgery and nephrology were the priority subjects in Guangdong Province. The mean cited times of medical papers published by authors in Guangdong Province also ranked third among the 6 municipalities and provinces, and were lower than those of the other 5 municipalities and provinces. Conclusion: The development of medical research in Guangdong Province at present is in an awkward position among the 6 municipalities and provinces. Guangdong Province must increase its input in scientific research, encourage the innovation enthusiasm of scientists, and increase its academic influence both at home and abroad by supporting weak subjects while further strengthening its advantageous subjects.
