| Abstract: | Objective To understand operating theatre nurses′awareness of caring,to explore factors influencing operating theatre nurses′caring ability,and to provide reference for cultivating and improving operating theatre nurses′caring ability.Methods Twelve operating room nurses were in-depth interviewed,and data were processed and analyzed by using Colaizzi′s analysis method.Results The operating theatre nurses convinced caring was very important to surgical patients;workload and emotion might influence implement of caring;and personal experience,role transition and role model were related to formation and development of caring ability.Conclusion The operating theatre nurses have developed a certain awareness of caring,and humanistic and social sciences and psychological course should be provided to operating theatre nurses in an attempt to strengthen their awareness of caring ability. |
