Safety of assisted reproductive technology（ART）especially its effect on the general and mental health of ART offspring has been one of the focuses in recent years.Most studies have shown that the health state of children born from ART treatment is similar to that of naturally conceived children，suggesting ART is a relatively safe technology.There is an urgent need for long-term follow-up studies of IVF-conceived children，as it is too difficult to determine whether the observed associations demonstrated are related to the genetic origin of the children，or are related to the infertility per se，the IVF treatment per se，or the adverse obstetric outcomes associated with IVF treatment.
