生命的基本属性之一--生物的防卫功能

无论是原始生命的“边界”或“表面”,还是单细胞生物的细胞膜。或是多细胞生物的体被系统,均属生物的防卫系统,是从低等到高等生物的共同特征,是生命独立存在和进行一切生命活动必不可少的条件;维持新陈代谢的正常进行离不开生物的防卫功能;无论是维护DNA稳定的机制;还是保证DNA忠实复制的错配校正系统,都不能用“稳态”、“遗传”等生命属性所概括,而DNA损伤的修复机制更是生物的防卫功能。只有把它们归入生物的防卫系统才能充分说明它们的重要作用,才能有利于我们进一步的研究和应用。生物的防卫功能是生命的基本属性之一。

The Biological defense function as one of the basic life properties

Whether the "boundary" or "surface" of the original life or the cell membrane of a unicellular organism or the integument system of the multicellular organism is among the biological defense function and is the common trait of the lower to higher organisms as well as the absolutely necessary conditions for both life self-existence and performance of all life activities. The biological defense function is necessary for the normal maintenance of metabolism. Neither the maintenance of the stable DNA mechanism nor the guarantee of the mismatch proofreading system of DNA replication will be simply put in the life properties such as "homeostasis", "heredity", ect., to say nothing of the repair mechanism of the DNA damage.Can we accurately illustrate their important functions and further study and apply them only when we classify them into the biological defense system. Therefore, it is our opinion that the defense function of organisms is one of the basic properties of life.
