Abstract: | Rheusus monkeys were trained to discriminate the angular velocity of moving stimuli and to reach accurately toward lighted targets. They were able to recover good performance of these tasks after large bilateral lesions that removed, in successive stages, all of striate cortex and almost all of areas OA, OB, and TEO of preoccipital cortex. |
