| Abstract: | A review of the literature concerning the causation of prolonged Q-T interval syndrome is presented. A fatal case, 50 years of age, with this rare entity is also reported, in whom a sudden cardiac arrest occurred 46 min after induction of anaesthesia. An outline for the successful anaesthetic management of patients with prolonged Q-T interval syndrome is suggested. |
