嗜酸粒细胞性气道炎症与气道高反应性

摘    要:
为了研究气道嗜酸粒细胞聚集和激活对气道反应性的影响,应用多粘菌素B豚鼠点鼻建立嗜酸粒细胞性气道炎症的动物模型。结果表明,嗜酸粒细胞聚集本身不引起气道高反应性(AHR),而已聚集的嗜酸粒细胞激活在AHR发生上起重要作用。提示嗜酸粒细胞激活可能是哮喘发作的重要触发因素。

Abstract:
n order to investigate the effects of accumulationand activation of eosinophils on the airway responsive-ness we developed an animal model of eosinophilic air-way inflammattiion by administration of polymyxin B.Bronchoalveolar lavage confirmed the presence of sig-nificantly increased numbers of eosinophils inpolymyxin B-treated guines pigs compared with that insaline-treated guinea pigs. Contrary to our expecta-tion, no significant increase in airway responsivenesswas obtained in polymyxin B-treated group. The re-sults also showed that both intratracheal instillationand inhalation of FMLP to polymyxin B-treated guineapigs enhance the airway responsiveness to intravenous5-HT. The indice of eosinophil activation,EPO activi-ty after the FMLP administration in polymyxin B-treated guinea pigs was significant increased. It sug-gested that accumulated eosinophils be highly activat-ed.The results indicate that eosinophil accumulationdoes not necessarily cause AHR and accumulatedeosinophil activation plays an important role in the de-velopment of AHR. Accumulated eosinphil activationwould be one of the trigger for asthma attack.
