Abstract:Stomach cancer cell line SGC-7901 .selected by pulse treatment oi vincristine (VCR),were resistant to VCR and cross-resistant to MTX, 5-Fu,ADM, and MMC, but without resistance to CDDP. The resistance index were 65,24,372,1.7 and 4.9 respectively. The doubling time of the subline were prolonged and cell cycle changed. Chromosome banding analysis demonstrated gene amplification such as double minutes and homogeneously staining region in the short arm of chromosome 7 and heterozugous deletion of the long arm of chromosome 7, together with overexpression of P-glycoprotein, suggesting that this sub-line was classically multidrug resistant and could be an experimental model for study of resistant mechanism of stomach cancer and for new reversal method.
