王霞芳重用桔梗益气升清治疗小儿五官疾病经验

王霞芳教授在临床用药中崇尚气机理论,治疗小儿五官疾病擅长重用桔梗。桔梗味苦辛性平,主升上行,开提肺气。桔梗虽是常用药,加重用量后其升清降浊之功显著。桔梗配生甘草可清热利咽,可治小儿咽部疾患;重用升清化湿、宣通鼻窍,又可上行宣肺、利湿化饮,治鼻炎具有良好疗效。

Experience of Professor WANG Xiafang in Treating Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology Diseases with Jiegeng(Radix Platycodonis) of Large Dosage to Boost Qi and Raise the Clear

Professor WANG Xiafang advocates qi movement theory in clinical treatment and uses Jiegeng(Radix Platycodonis) of large dosage to treat pediatric otorhinolaryngology diseases. Jiegeng is of bitter and pungent taste and of mild property,and it tends to raise and lift to open and raise the lung qi. Although Jiegeng is a common Chinese medicinal herb,its effect of raising the clear and directing the turbid downward could become more obvious when used in large dosage. Jiegeng combined with Shenggancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae) could clear heat and smoothen the throat to treat pediatric pharyngeal diseases. Jiegeng used in large dosage can raise the clear and resolve the dampness,diffuse and unblock the nose,and also could ascend to diffuse the lung,drain dampness and dissolve rheum to treat rhinitis with good effect.
