Single port and multiple-port laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair and postoperative quality assessment

Objective:The aim of this study is to compare the clinical effect of the single port laparoscopy(SPL)and the multiple-port laparoscopy(MPL)totally extraperitoneal hernia repair,and explore the safety,effectiveness and advantages of the SPL in the treatment of inguinal hernia.Methods:The clinical data of 127 patients who underwent totally extraperitoneal repair from May 2017 to May 2019 were prospectively compared and analyzed,65 patients underwent SPL and 62 patients underwent MPL.The patients were followed up for 12 months postoperatively.The operative time,postoperative time to return to daily life,postoperative pain relief time,hospital stay,surgical complications and postoperative satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the MPL group,the operative time and postoperative incision pain relief time in SPL group were significantly longer(P<0.05),the satisfaction one month after surgery was better in the SPL group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The SPL and MPL have their advantages and disadvantages,and both of them have the value of popularization and application.Therefore,it is better to choose the appropriate surgical method according to the needs of different patients.
