Application of medication environment reproduction to nursing management on medication safety:a qualitative study

Objective To explore hazards lurking in medication environment,and to provide references for safe medication.Methods Photos with relation to medication environment were taken.A total of 16 participants who worked in the medical ward were interviewed in depth by researchers′ utilizing the photos to conjure the images of medication environment and hazardous factors lurking in medication storage were dug out.Results The main hazards lying in medication storage and usage included unreasonable storage,inappropriate medication management,and improper risk management.Conclusion Medication environment reproduction methods should be taken to help find out potential risk factors lurking in clinical medication environment.In order to promote clinical medication safety,nurse managers should provide training program for nurses,reinforce medication management,employ striking marks,and make proper regionalism.
