Application of cervical intervertebral disc ablation in the treatment of cervical intervertebral disc herniation vertigo:A clinical analysis

Objective To explore the disease pathogenesis of cervical intervertebral disc herniation in vertigo and evaluate the therapeutic effect of minimal invasive cervical intervertebral disc ablation in the treatment of disc herniation vertigo.Methods 173 cases of patients with vertigo from 2009 to 2010 in our hospital were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.Patients in the treatment group underwent minimal invasive surgery by ablation of intervertebral disc combined with post-operative antibiotics,dexamethasone,and sodium aescinate intravenous dripping.In contrast,therapeutic means such as cervical traction,massage,bonesetting and small needle knife with loose solution combined with intravenous dripping were applied in the control group.The visual analog scale（VAS） system recorded the states of the patients before and after the treatment and in the follow-up period and assessment was made.Results The treatment group could achieve the immediate post-operative improvement in symptoms.After a long-term follow-up,this group could still manifest better clinical effect than the control group.The therapeutic assessment was superior to that of the control group.The two groups were statistically different.Conclusion Cervical intervertebral disc herniation accounts much for the pathogenesis of vertigo.Application of cervical intervertebral disc ablation for the treatment of cervical intervertebral disc herniation vertigo has a good therapeutic effect.
