脑多形性黄色星形细胞瘤

作者报告3例罕见的脑多形性黄色显形细胞瘤,观察了其临床、光镜、电镜及免疫组化特征。结果显示,本瘤好发于脑表浅部位,界限清楚,有囊腔形成.光镜下瘤细胞奇形怪状,提示恶性的组织学形态,酷似巨细胞胶质母细胞瘤,以往均被误诊。然而多形性黄色星形细胞瘤预后良好,存活期长,且光镜下缺乏坏死,核分裂相当少.随访2例,术后生存时间分别为11年7个月利7年9个月。电镜与免疫组化方法证实此瘤为胶质起源,并发现瘤细胞浆内脂漓存在。肿瘤中淋巴细胞浸润及淋巴细胞仲入运动,被认为是预后较好的指征.

Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma of the brain

Three cases of pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma were reported.The diagnosis of gigantocellular glioblastoma was made at that time.The tumor cell displayed marked pleomorphism,including bizarra giant cells and a number of mitotic figures,but no necrosis.Immunoperoxidase technique established the presence of glial fibrillary acidic protein in the tumor cells,which were therefore considered to be astrocytic.In contrast to its pleomorphic cytology,the biological behavior of this tumor appeared to be relatively favorable,and long survial time had been recorded in two cases.The relationship between lymphocytic infiltrates and slow tumor growth is at present conjectural but worthy of consideration.
