Discussion on Factors of the Third-party Mediation Mechanism in Medical Dispute

The third-party mediation mechanism has become the main mode and mechanism of medical dispute disposal,which drew the more attention in the process of exploration and implementation. This article elaborates the concept of the third-party mediation mechanism and analyzes some factors involving doctors and patients,the third-party mediation agencies and government departments,health administration,public security,medical liability insurance companies and the news media. It is concluded that the legitimate interests of both doctors and patients in medical disputes would be protected if all factors involved seriously take their responsibilities,to maintain the social stability and build a harmonious relationship between doctors and patients. In the following work,it will be necessary to strengthen the credibility and compulsion power of the third-party mediation mechanism,and improve the long-term management system of personnel,facilities and funding.
