Effect of Yiqi Yangyin recipe on the adverse reaction effects and quality of life in patients with ovarian cancer undergoing chemotherapy

Objective:To observe the effect of Yiqi Yangyin recipe on the adverse reactions and quality of life in patients with ovarian cancer after operation.Methods:64 patients with stageⅠ-Ⅲovarian cancer who underwent comprehensive surgery were divided into experimental group(32 cases)and control group(32 cases)by simple randomization method.The control group was treated with paclitaxel plus platinum in vein for 6 courses,and the experimental group was treated with Yiqi Yangyin recipe in the intermittent period of chemotherapy on the basis of the control group.Blood routine test,liver and kidney function were measured before and 3rd days after chemotherapy,and gastrointestinal reactions were recorded to determine the side effects(WBC,neutrophil,hemoglobin reduction;diarrhea,nausea and vomiting,etc.).Karnofsky and EORTC QLQ-C30 were used to evaluate the quality of life of the patients in the two groups before and after chemotherapy,and the changes of TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were observed.Results:The adverse reaction(WBC,neutrophil,hemoglobin reduction,diarrhea,nausea and vomiting,etc.)in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Yangyin recipe can reduce the adverse reaction of chemotherapy,improve the quality of life and human function,and improve the syndrome of Qi Yin deficiency and blood stasis.
