Experience by Professor CHEN Jianjie on Treating Primary Biliary Cirrhosis

In this article,the experience of Professor CHEN Jianjie on diagnosing and treating primary bil iary cholangitis(PBC) was introduced. The cause of PBC is wet heat fumigating liver and gallbladder,and stasis heat blocking meridian,and formating accumulation. Protecting the middle,regulating the middle and resolving the middle is the root,and should be applied throughout the treatment. Clearing heat,drainingdampness,removing jaundice,cooling blood and resolving stasis are the major therapeutic methods.PBC should be treated according to stages with different preferences. Also the accompanied symptoms should be treated through modifying formulas.
