Study on the Relationship Between the Testosterone Concentration Changes in Endocrine Therapy of Prostate Cancer and Developing Into Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer

Objective To study the clinical guiding significance of testosterone levels during the diagnosis and treatment of locally advanced prostate cancer.Methods 36 patients with locally advanced prostate cancer who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2018 were selected.According to the highest point of testosterone since the treatment,the patients were divided into low-concentration group and medium-concentration group and high concentration groups.Followed up the patients,recorded the progress time of the patients,compared the proportion,progress time and overall survival of patients with castrationresistant prostate cancer in each group,and analyzed the correlation of testosterone level with the progress time and overall survival.Results The proportion of castration-resistant prostate cancer in the low-concentration group,medium-concentration group,and high-concentration group increased sequentially,and the progression time and overall survival period were successively shortened.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);testosterone levels were the same as the progression time and the overall survival period was significantly positively correlated(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a certain relationship between testosterone level in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer and treatment effect and prognosis.
