Effects of ultrasound-guided indwelling catheter after brachial plexus block on postoperative analgesia and functional exerciseofpatients with elbow fracture

Objective To explore the effects ofultrasound-guided indwelling catheter after brachial plexus block on postoperative analgesia and functional exerciseof patients with elbow fracture.Methods A total of 60 patients with elbow fracture after brachial plexus block were randomly divided into control group and study group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given postoperative indwelling catheter guided by peripheral nerve stimulator,while the study group was guided by ultrasound.The clinical effects of the two groups were compared.Results The times of catheterization,operation time,incidence of drug leakage,auxiliary analgesia rate,dosage of ropivacaine,recovery time of motor block time,postoperative recovery time and incidence of complications in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 1,6,24 and 48 h after operation,the VAS score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 24,48 and 72 h after operation,the Broberg and Morrey score in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Theultrasound-guided indwelling catheter after brachial plexus block applied inelbow fracture has significant effect,it can improve the analgesic effect and is conducive to postoperative functional exercise of patients.
