| Abstract: | Knee osteoarthritis belongs to the category of "Bi syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine. Wei’s traumatology, a famous orthopedic and traumatology school, has accumulated rich experience in treating knee osteoarthritis after several generations of inheritance and development. It emphasizes equal attention to"both internal and external, and both qi and blood". It has established the academic thoughts that "Qi and blood are essentials, equal attention should be given to sinews and bones, the liver and kidney, the spleen and stomach should be regulated, attention should be paid to manipulation and balance." It has formed a comprehensive therapy including internal and external treatment of drugs, manual diagnosis and treatment and guidance therapy. Combined with clinical medical records, the experience of Wei’s traumatology department in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis was introduced. |
