Application of detail management in nasal feeding diet of elderly patients with indwelling ordinary silica gel gastric tube

Objective To reduce the incidence of vomiting,reflux,aspiration,asphyxia,diarrhea and other complications after nasal feeding in elderly patients with indwelling ordinary silicone gastric tube,save the lives of patients,and reduce the incidence of infection and mortality.Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with indwrenched ordinary silicone gastric tube from June 2019 to May 2020 were randomly divided into control group(40 cases)and intervention group(40 cases),and effective intervention was conducted for the detailed management of nasogastric feeding in two groups of patients.Results In the intervention group,gastrointestinal complications occurred in 6 cases(15%),no tube blockage,and pulmonary infection in 2 cases(5%).In the control group,gastrointestinal complications occurred in 38 cases(95%),tube blockage in 10 cases(25%),and pulmonary infection in 12 cases(30%).The incidence of vomiting,tube blockage and pulmonary infection in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion Detail management can effectively reduce the incidence of complications of nasal feeding in the elderly patients,which was worthy of popularization and application.
