Analysis of the effect of mifepristone in the treatment of patients with hysteromyoma

Objective To study the clinical effect of mifepristone in the treatment of patients with hysteromyoma.Methods A total of 98 patients with hysteromyoma were divided into reference group and research group according to random numerical table,with 49 cases in each group.The reference group was treated with triptorelin acetate,and the research group was treated with mifepristone.The fibroids volume,uterine volume,and menstrual period before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in fibroids volume,uterine volume,and menstrual period between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the fibroids volume(32.58±12.64)cm³,uterine volume(104.75±28.79)cm³ of the research group were smaller than(45.57±15.03)and(121.34±32.85)cm³ of the reference group,and menstrual period(6.54±1.20)d was shorter than(8.77±1.18)d of the reference group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mifepristone shows good therapeutic effect in clinical treatment of patients with hysteromyoma,which can not only further reduce the fibroids volume and uterus volume,but also contribute to the adjustment of their menstrual period.
