Abstract: | The article presents a novel method of topical diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic otitis media purulenta with perforation in the tympanic membrane; describes indications and contraindications for the method application, its technique with use of two devices: otobarohydroscope and transmeatal catheter. The treatment was performed in a group of patients with acute otitis media purulenta at the stage of tympanic membrane perforation complicated with exudative serous mastoiditis. Transmeatal controlled barohydrodynamic therapy proved its high efficacy in topical diagnosis and therapy of patients with the above condition. |
