Abstract: | Two cases of angiodysplasia of the parotid area are reported. Both appeared to consist of an anomalous mature venous mass. Both patients complained of a swelling which grew hard and bulged when the internal jugular vein pressure was elevated. Venography demonstrated venous enlargement while arteriography failed to demonstrate small arterial communications such as were present in one case. Radical surgical resection was successfully performed. Pathogenesis, classification, and treatment of these lesions are discussed. |
