Abstract: | We describe a 27-year-old man who developed prolonged myalgia and dark red-coloured urine following dengue virus infection. The patient was found to have raised serum creatine kinase levels, consistent with rhabdomyolysis. He was treated with intravenous hydration and recovered uneventfully. Despite dengue fever being endemic in Singapore and South-east Asia, this is the first case report of such complication in this region. |
