Abstract: | In a longitudinal study involving 544 infants, the cost‐effectiveness of nutrition/health interventions (education; and education with food, immunization and sanitation) were studied using several nutritional indices involving weight and height. Education alone was the most cost‐effective using the weight for age, and sanitation was the least. However, using the proper weight/height relationship during growth in normal infants as the index, we found considerable improvement in the cost effectiveness of the food and immunization interventions as well as the education intervention alone. |
