Anomalous relationship between femoral artery and vein: A case report
Authors:J. Forty
Abstract:
The relationship between the femoral artery and vein, the artery lying lateral to the vein as they emerge from behind the inguinal ligament, is traditionally considered to be constant. The femoral pulse is used as an anatomical landmark for both open and closed procedures in the femoral triangle. A case is presented here which illustrates that the constancy of this relationship cannot always be relied upon.
