| Abstract: | A 39-year-old Norwegian seaman developed penile ulcerations after sexual contact overseas. The diagnosis of syphilitic chancre and of chancroid was confirmed. The ulcers healed after combined treatment with benzathine penicillin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. |
