Effect analysis of azithromycin combined with cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium in the treatment of senile pneumonia

Objective To study the clinical effect of azithromycin combined with cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium in the treatment of senile pneumonia. Methods A total of 94 elderly patients with pneumonia were divided into research group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with azithromycin, and the research group was treated with azithromycin and cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium. Both groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy, occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment, improvement time of clinical symptoms, and inflammatory factors before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment 97.87% in the research group was higher than 80.85% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment 4.26% in the research group was lower than 21.28% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The improvement time of body temperature,sputum color, white blood cell count, and wet rales in the research group was shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the C-reactive protein(2.13±0.05) mg/L and white blood cell(3.52±1.34)×10⁹/L in the research group were lower than(5.56±0.25) mg/L and(6.25±2.52)×10⁹/L in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of azithromycin combined with cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium has significant effect on elderly patients with pneumonia, and it can significantly improve the clinical efficacy and inflammatory response,shorten the recovery time of the disease, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, has the high security.
