卡替洛尔和噻吗心安降低眼内压的临床观察

观察2％卡替洛尔滴眼液的临床疗效。（1）16例32眼正常人点1滴药后，0．5小时出现显著的眼压下降。4小时眼压下降幅度最大，眼压下降1．78mmHg，为基础眼压的10．40％。（2）应用双盲法比较2％卡替洛尔和0．5％噻吗心安连续用药8周对41例82眼开角型青光眼的临床疗效，结果表明①卡替洛尔和噻吗心安用药后均可使青光眼患者眼压明显下降（P＜0．05），眼压下降率分别为用药前基础眼压的12．10％（2．47mmHg）和14．46％（3．02mmHg）；②卡替洛尔的降眼压效果与噻吗心安相比无显著性差异（P＞0．4）；③两种药物对血压、脉搏和瞳孔直径无明显影响（P＞0．05），也未发现明显的主观不适感觉。本文结果提示：卡替洛尔是一种新的治疗青光眼的有效药物。

The Intraocular Pressure Depressive Effect of Carteolol and Timolol

1. In 16 healthy volunteers (32 eyes), single ocular adfornistration of carteolol 2% reduces intraocular pressure (IOP)half an hour after eyedrop instillation. Four hours after single topical administration,mean IOP decreases by a maximum 1. 78 mmHg, 10. 40% of baseline value. 2. Ocular and cardiovascular effects of topical carteolol 2% and timolol 0. 5% have been measured in a double - masked, randomized study of eight weeks' duration in 41 patients(82 eyes)with primary open-angle glaucoma. The results demonstrated that (1)both carteolol and timolol lowered IOP significantly (P< 0. 05),representing reductions of 12. 10% (2. 47mmHg ) and 14. 46% (3. 02mmHg ) respectivelyl (2 ) carteolol produced a similar reduction in IOP when compared with timolol (P > 0. 4 ) ; (3 ) the two agents hadn ' t significant effects on blood pressure, pulse and pupil size. Significant discomfort was not noted. The results suggested that carteolol is an effective ocular hypotensive.
