Inhibitory effect of secretin and cholecystokinin on Heidenhain pouch responses to gastrin extract and histamine |

| Abstract: | Rapid intravenous injections of secretin and cholecystokinin (Vitrum) inhibited the acid response of Heidenhain pouch dogs to continuous intravenous gastrin extract. Cholecystokinin caused greater inhibition than secretin. Responses to small doses of histamine were inhibited by cholecystokinin but not by secretin. |
