Acupuncture Combined with Jiaotong Decoction in the Treatment of Insomnia of Disharmony Between Heart and Kidney Syndrome

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with oral administration of Chinese medicine in the treatment of insomnia.Methods:78 patients with insomnia were randomly divided into two groups.39 cases in the treatment group were treated with filiform acupuncture[acupuncture at Baihui(GV20),Sishencong(EX-HN1),bilateral Shenmen(H7),Taixi(K3),Shenmai(B62),Zhaohai(K6)]combined with Jiaotong Decoction,while 39 cases in the control group were treated with Jiaotong Decoction,14 days as a course of treatment.The TCM symptom score and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed.Results:Before treatment,there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score and PSQI scale score between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,TCM symptom score and PSQI scale score of the treatment group were significantly reduced compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),while some TCM symptom score and PQRI scale score of the control group were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),but the decrease in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05);the effective rate of the treatment group was 94.74%,and that of the control group was 70.27%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Jiaotong Decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of insomnia can significantly improve the clinical efficacy,relieve symptoms,relieve pain,and promote the recovery of patients.
