Abstract:Objective The aim to investigate the change of interleukin-17(IL-17)and IL-6 in surem and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)in cigarette exposure rats,to observe the effection of this two factors on an airway inflammation.Methods 40 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups:12 weeks control group(C1 group),24 weeks control group(C2 group),12 weeks smoke-exposure group (S1 group),24 weeks smoke-exposure group(S2 group),10 rats each group.At the 12 week and 24 week,the groups were sacrificed.Total and differential ceils were counted in BALF for observed,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the 1evels of IL-17 and IL-6 in surem and BALF.Results ①Compared with the C1 and C2 groups,the levels of total and differential cell counts were increased in the cigarette exposure groups,especially in the S2 group.②Compared with C1 and C2 groups,the level of IL-17 not only in surem but in BALF were ignificantly increased in S1 and S2 groups (P<0.05).It was significantly increased in S2 group compared with the S1 group too (P<0.01).Compared with the C1 group,IL-6 in surem in the S1 group was not changed(P>0.05),but it's significantly increased in BALF.Compared with the C2 group,level of IL-6 increased both in surem and BALF,it's also ignificantly increased in S2 group compared with S1 group.③There was a positive correlation between IL-17 and IL-6 in serum but not in BALF in cigarette exposure groups.otherwise,the IL-17 from BALF in cigarette exposure groups was failed to correlate with neutroeyte,lymphocyte,monocyte.Conclusions The levels of IL-17 and IL-6 were increased in serum and BALF in airway inflammation model with cigarette exposure rats,they maybe related with the occurrence and development of COPD.
