Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of fiberbronchoscope in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with respiratory failure. Methods 30 patients with COPD were included in the study group after randomization, and 30 patients served as control group. The control group was treated by conventional anti-infective, expectorant, oxygen and other symptomatic treatment.The study group were added on the basis of suction and bronchoalveolar lavage through the bronchoscope.Clinical efficacy were observed after 2 weeks of treatment. Results Its improvement rate and clinical efficiency have been increased in study group than those of control group ( P <0. 05). Compared with the results of control group,study group improved significantly in clinical symptoms, blood gas indexes and pulmonary function ( P < 0. 01). Conclusions The results suggest that fiberbronchoscope can offer confirmed efficiency and safety treatment in COPD patients with respiratory failure, and can alleviate symptoms,decrease endotracheal intubation rate and promote recovery, with important clinical value.
