Abstract: | The laryngeal mask airway was used to resuscitate a patient in whom direct and fibreoptic laryngoscopy were impossible because of cervical pathology and pulmonary oedema. The laryngeal mask airway may be an alternative to tracheal intubation in emergency resuscitation. |
