Improvement effects of progressive nursing on the psychological status and quality of life of tumor patients undergoing chemotherapy in thoracic surgery department

Objective To explore the improvement effects of progressive nursing on the psychological status and quality of life of tumor patients undergoing chemotherapy in thoracic surgery department.Methods A total of 86 tumor patients admitted in the thoracic surgery department of our hospital from February 2019 to February 2020 were selected as study objects.All patients received post-operative chemotherapy and were randomly divided into control group and experimental group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group implemented routine nursing,and the experimental group implemented progressive nursing on this basis.The psychological status and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results At 2 months after discharge,the SAS and SDS scores of the two groups decreased,and those in the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).At 2 months after discharge,the scores of social/family status,emotional status,functional status and total score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those at admission and the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Progressive nursing can gradually and effectively ameliorate the anxiety and depression emotion of tumor patients undergoing chemotherapy in thoracic surgery department,and improve the quality of life of patients,which has the value of clinical promotion and practice.
