Research Advances in the Treatment of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer by Chinese Medicine with the Actions of Replenishing Qi and Removing Phlegm

Therapy of replenishing qi and removing phlegm is one of the most important therapeutic methods for the treatment of lung cancer with Chinese medicine,and its effectiveness has been proved by more and more recent reports.The recent research revealed that the therapy of replenishing qi and removing phlegm not only can stabilize the tumor mass and improve the life quality of lung cancer patients,but also can relieve the related symptoms and reduce the chemotherapy-induced side effects.What’s more,it has obvious advantages on the maintenance for treatment phase,delay for target-therapy drug resistance and preferance to senile advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients.So,the therapy of replenishing qi and removing phlegm for the treatment of lung cancer is one of the most representative researches in TCM oncology.In this article,we reviewed the progress in the clinical study and experimental research of therapy of replenishing qi and removing phlegm for the treatment of NSCLC.
