Abstract: | Two cases of Brucella melitensis pericarditis are reported. Pericardial involvement was the first and almost only manifestation of brucellosis in the first patient while in the second, a significant pericardial effusion was discovered on a routine echocardiogram performed in a patient with clinically florid brucellosis. Some etiopathogenic aspects of this uncommon etiology are discussed. |
