Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of feedback theory-based health education on medication adherence and self-efficacy in chronic gastritis patients.Methods From July 2017 to June 2019,this study selected 270 chronic gastritis patients in Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University as subjects by convenience sampling.All of patients were divided into observation group and control group with the method of random number table,135 cases in each group.Control group carried out routine health education,while observation group implemented feedback theory-based health education and provided the guidance of disease self-management for patients following up for 4 weeks.The study compared the medication adherence of patients between two groups one,two,three and four weeks after intervention,and the self-efficacy before and after intervention.Results There was no statistical difference in the medication adherence of patients between two groups one week after intervention(P>0.05).The medication adherence of patients in observation group was higher than those in control group two,three and four weeks after intervention with statistical differences(P<0.05).After intervention,the score of self-efficacy of patients in observation group was higher than that in control group with a statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusions Feedback theory-based health education can improve medication adherence and self-efficacy of chronic gastritis patients.
