Abstract: | Summary Castleman's disease (CD) is a rare disease of unknown aetiology and pathogenesis. We present an unusual case of abdominal CD in whom the first manifestation was an autoimmune haemolytic anaemia presenting 9 years before the diagnosis. The Coombs test became negative 2 months after surgical resection of the mass, suggesting that the mass was the source of the autoantibody. CD may be present in autoimmune haemolytic anaemia in patients with no evidence of any other disease. |
