Abstract:	The cytogenetic findings obtained by G- and C-banding in short-term culture from a primary renal cell carcinoma are reported. This tumor is characterized by loss of the short arm of chromosome #3 and t(Y;3). The aberration of chromosome #3 in renal cell carcinomas is discussed.
