A Discussion on Asymptomatic Myocardial Ischemia

Silent myocardial ischemia (SMI) is a special type of coronary heart disease, its pathogenesis is nothing more than the conflict between the deficiency of healthy qi and the excess of pathogenic factor. The defi- ciency is mainly manifested as yang - deficiency, yin - deficiency and qi-deficiency and the excess as stagna- tion of qi, blood, phlegm, food, damp and fire. The article introduces the therapy with superiority of mutual supple- ment of TCM and western medicine (WM), clinical mani- festations and diagnosis. The curative effect showed that the treatment of SMI by combination of TCM and WM is superior than that by TCM or WM alone.
