Abstract: | ![]() Cytochrome P-450 can be used to indicate damage of the membranes of endoplasmatic reticulum by CCl4. Free radicals are formed during the metabolism of CCl4, which stimulate peroxidation of unsaturated fatty acids and directly inactivate cytochrome P-450. The first indication of cytochrome P-450 inactivation is a decrease in the reduction rate in the NADPH-specific electron transfer chain. In microsomes obtained from the liver of poisoned animals NADPH-cytochrome P-450 reductase is not stimulated by DMA. |
