Clinical significance of urinary calcium excretion and uric acid in severe pre-eclampsia(PE)

Objective To research the clinical significance of urinary calcium excretion and uric acid in severe pre-eclampsia（PE）.Methods 47 cases were enrolled into our clinical study with severe PE,50 cases normal pregnant women were enrolled into control group to determine uric calcium and uric acid.Results urinary calcium in PE group is much lower than normal group（1.6 mmol/24 h±1.1 vs 6.1 mmol/24 h±4.2）,there were differences between two groups（P0.05）,serum uric acid in PE group is higher than control group（312±95 umol/L vs 270±61 umol/L）,there were differences between two groups（P0.05）.Conclusion urinary calcium and serum uric acid may predict kidney damage risk factors in PE,this is very important to early treatment.
