Abstract: | The amylase-linked immunoglobulins in 16 cases with macroamylasemia were analyzed by employing immunoelectrophoresis on agar gel plates. The classes of the amylase-binding immunoglobulins were identified as follows: in the heavy chain classes, 10 cases were alpha, two cases gamma, one case both alpha and gamma and three cases could not be identified; in the light chain types, nine cases were kappa, two cases lambda and five cases unidentified. |
