Abstract: | An instrument using analogue integrated circuits for the separation of the systolic and diastolic levels of an arterial blood-pressure waveform is described. The use of the instrument in tracking the widely varying blood-pressure signals recorded from hypertensive dogs is shown. Details of the circuitry employed and the method of construction are given. An appendix describes the useful ‘ideal-diod’ circuit. |
