General Introduction to Northwest Dryness Syndrome

The inhabitants of Xinjiang area often feel most of discomfort, because of arid climate and special environment. The author researches these symptoms from 1991 and named it as Northwest Dryness Syndrome(NDS). This paper is brief discussion of the research present situation. It aimed the explanations about the conception of Northwest Dryness Syndrome(NDS). This paper also mentioned the research task and research prospect. The research will clarify distributed regularity, cause of disease, pathogenesis, the characteristic of syndrome and prognosis of Dryness Syndrome(NDS)by using method of epidemiology and clinical of experiment research, then laying down prevention and cure project. The research about NDS of TCM will explore the universal prevention strategy of special of high prevalence disease in Xinjiang from treating different diseases with the same method; provide the beneficial reference of the research on the longevity factor in Xinjiang and TCM or nation medicine treat anti-caducity.
