Development and clinical application of an intelligent transfusion instrument by heart rate control with the function of monitoring blood oxygen |

Abstract: | Objective:To develop a new kind of transfusion instrument which transfusion speed could be intelligently controlled according to the change of heart rate and which has the function of monitoring blood oxygen.Methods:The blood transfusion instrument consists of a single-chip microcomputer system,a sensor of heart rate and blood oxygen,a detecting device for drop rate,a controller for drop rate and an alarm device.The changes of heart rate and blood oxygen were sensed by the sensor of heart rate and blood oxygen.After the signal was processed by the singlechip microcomputer,it was transmitted to the controller of drop rate to control the drop rate and monitor the blood oxygen.The speed of blood flow was detected by the detecting device of drop rate,and the on-off was controlled by it.And the sound-light alarm was automatically produced after the transfusion was completed.Results:The controller of drop rate has a high accuracy of dynamic control,and its measurement error was±1 drop/minute.And the count of detection device of drop rate was accurate,and the response of sound and light alarm device was sensitive.In the clinical application of more than 230 patients within 15 months,there was no one case occurred transfusion-related circulatory overload,and there was no false alarm,missed alarm and out of control in this instrument.Conclusion:The developed transfusion instrument has the scientific and reasonable design,favorable safety,and it doesn’t produce cross infection.In addition,the cost of that is low and the operation of that is simple.Therefore,it is suitable to be applied in transfusion therapy in hospital of various grade. |
